coaches salary out of balance in leagues

The salaries on coaches is out of balance in some leagues. This needs too be addressed .Mfn league 16 has position coaches making more then coordinators.A position coach should always make less then a coordinator. Then a head coach should always make the most.We need too set a scale for coaches salaries.Where a head coach can only make x amount and so forth down the line. That way we can keep the coaches salaries balanced out.something in the lines like this
head coach 4-6 million
off -def coordinator 1-3 million
position coaches 400,000 This is even a high end of current position coaches. This was based of a research. We need too fix this issue on salaries.

I would worry about this if the coach actually played a bigger role in the game. Right now, coaches just help plays improve a little bit faster and the HC brings the playbooks. Really, if you hire the HC with the playbooks you want, you can hire nothing but scrubs for your other coaches and not see a drop off in player improvement.

Also, since you can't hire away another team's head coach, you can keep your HC salary cheap and spend as much as you want on all the other coaches even if they don't really do anything.

When will coaches start playing a bigger role in the game?We can not leave the salaries the way they are now moving forward. It will cause all kinds of issues.

The coach salary hierarchy requirements will be deployed soon, and there will eventually be more impact from the coaching staff. I will let the hierarchy requirements settle in first, though, as setherick said the coaches play a very limited role at this time so this fact will limit the problems that will happen as those requirements are enforced. There will be several teams who will be forced to replace their existing coaches with cheaper ones in order to get within the requirements, and it will take several seasons for those requirements to be active among all teams.

Here are the average salaries in MFN6 JDB. I agree with the OP this should probably be addressed sooner rather than later.

Head Coach $16,099,047
Offensive Coordinator $16,052,609
Defensive Coordinator $19,146,442
Position Coach $53,472,245

This actually makes sense to me since you can't poach HC, OC, and DC positions easily. I think this will be a reality in a lot of developed leagues after awhile.

But, again, the reality is that coaches are like show ponies. Sure, their overalls look nice, but they don't really do anything.

I don't know if that's true. But whatever they do sure is a mystery (in terms of quantification).

It's been confirmed by JDB that currenlty the only thing they do, other than the HC playbooks, is determine how quickly you see what the player's ultimate max potential is. Not what that potential ends up being, just how quickly you see what it will be. Not too exciting in my opinion.

Agreed. What I should have said is that I don't know whether the coaches can significantly influence the rate at which players reach their potential no matter their coaching ratings.
