Injury reports

Will injury reporting on here become similar to the new NFL reporting (no more probables)?

And will it alter how reporting "questionable", "doubtful" and "out" currently are?

I think for the purposes here I'm going to leave it as it is. The point of 'probable' is so that you, as the owner, know your player is dinged up a little bit. The decision for the NFL to no longer use 'probable' as a designation echoes the comments here that 'probable' reports should technically be ignored in terms of the injury report.

There is probably going to be a better way to report that, though, given the updates to the NFL's system - what do you all think would be a good idea?

I think the way it is now is fine.

However, that leads me to a related question.

At what point does a player leave the game and not return.

For example:

I know these numbers aren't correct, but for the sake of argument let's say injuries are:
100 - None
90-99 Probable
66-89 Questionable
51-65 Doubtful
0-50 Out
1-49 IR
0 Dead

At what injury number does a player leave the game, not to return?

If my RB has an injury that brings his leg "health" down to 70, I don't want him coming back into the game. Will he?

It would be great if this could be a MISC option by position group.

He likely will, part of that is simulating the fact that players are not effectively evaluated during the game and often have a more severe injury than initially anticipated. (This has reduced recently I feel with the increase of the NFL's focus on safety, but I do believe it still happens quite a bit) What happens now is that a player's injury is given a time before he will be able to return, the more severe the injury the less likely he will return.

I do have on the list for the next version the addition of you being able to specify a floor for putting a player in due to injury in the misc gameplan options.

To piggyback off WarEagle, it'd be interesting if we could set injury thresholds for each body part for each position; e.g. I'd be more concerned about a 70 leg injury to an RB than a 70 hand injury.

That might get too complicated though, but food for thought.

It would be good for them to come out at some point, does injury effect fatigue?

well wouldn't it be better if that was the case that like a warning message that our RB got a leg injury be more efficient than having a injury thresholds for each body part for each position ??

btw what I mean by warning message is like when you don't have a full coaching staff or you need to scout your next opponent.

Though we could have both a warning message and a injury thresholds for each position.
