Hey Jdavid,

I would like to ask you what are the main variables to the Free agent signing logic in the game.
I've seen stuff really making me scratch my head so i wanted to have some of your insight on how it works... Thanks

Right now the biggest thrust is the guaranteed money, with the base salary playing a lesser role. In general, the bigger the bonus the more likely they are going to sign, but of course the bigger the bonus the bigger the cap hit if they retire or you trade or cut them.

Ok, thanks.... so now my follow up question would be :
Why would a guy sign for less money on more years then...
i tried to sign this player
My offer was 5.5Millions over 3 years with about 40% of it guaranteed and he signed a 3.5 Millions deal over 4...

I obviously had the best offer and i was surprised to see it denied
So i'm just trying to improve my free agency game here

Actually, the other offer had more guaranteed money. Your offer guaranteed roughly 2.2 million, while the winning offer guaranteed 2.4 million, meaning roughly 68% of the winning offer was guaranteed in bonuses.
