2030 NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE CROWN SHOWDOWN

Well, folks, here we are with another exciting NFL Crown Showdown. This year’s event finds Philadelphia (vcr5150)(15-1) looking for it’s first ever league title against 2023 league champion Pittsburgh (trslick)(11-4). Dubbed the “Signature Bowl” after Philly legend John Hancock, the game is sure to be a battle after the starting bell rings.

After tearing through the National Conference - outscoring opponents 81-44 - and destroying the Albuquerque Nukes in the Conference title game 44-35 (on the hands of 6 turnovers produced by the Philly D), Philadelphia (-8) has a fierce competitor in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh, 35-13 in the regular season and 3-2 in the playoffs the last 3 seasons, has been led by QB Carlton Conway ’s ultra efficient 76.3 completion percentage, 7TD, 138.38 QBR. Coupled with RB Raymond Moore’s 217 yards on 36 carries (6.0 ypc), it is no surprise that Philadelphia is favored by more than a touchdown to win the city’s first league championship. Well, actually it is.
“I just can not believe it’s here. If we pull this off, I will have accomplished my life’s dream - my true purpose - free cheesesteaks for life in the state of Pennsylvania'' stated an almost overwhelming 319 lb RT Adam Shelby.

Not to be denied, Philadelphia’s Head Coach Eric Rhea stood by his 84-6 record and star WR Cooper Cavenaugh’s league leading (by almost 400 yards) 1,841 receiving yards and 22.7 ypc. “With a fella like that, ****, we don’t even need the wind to blow right and it’s touchdowns all **** day. Suit him up, line him up, throw him up. This guy has been our rock since we drafted him in 2026, and could catch a pebble slung from Betelgeuse by Orion himself.”

Of course, after such poor nomenclature by his coach, the twitterverse has named Cavenaugh the "Philly Vomit Comet." Much glee has been had.

With over a gabillion pennies wagered, copper and tin have skyrocketed to unprecedented demands, and many world governments have found themselves cleaning the wishing wells to make change for day to day commerce.

PHILADELPHIA WINS 2030 NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE CROWN SHOWDOWN 31-19

The Scene: Philly: 10 degrees F with frozen, icy conditions. No fog yet… Pittsburgh: 22 degrees F with a northern storm off Lake Erie shutting down all roadways into and out of the ‘Burg. By halftime, it was expected both cities would be fully grounded by Old Man Winter, left with only prayers for the electricity to hold against frozen rains, and the wings to hold together families star-crossed by a sudden Pennsylvania pain.

Who would win?

Fortunately for fans and players alike, the lights stayed on as Philadelphia stormed onto the domed turf of Detroit Stadium in Detroit before a crowd of 60.641 (94% cap). Philly, eager to fly, worked its way down the field with the first possession of the Crown Showdown to an opening touchdown, with Philly QB John Hamilton hitting TE Brian Pyne for the game’s first score with 7:22 remaining in the 1st quarter. https://vikings.myfootballnow.com/watch/4329#738954

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, just could not find any fruit offensively, completing just 17 offensive plays as Philly racked up the score with 2 more TD’s, bringing the score to 24-7 at the half.

Pittsburgh looked determined in the second half, holding Philadelphia to 1 touchdown while putting up another 12 points. Alas, to spite the efforts of Pitt DE Jeffry Orr’s moment of excellence nailing Philly WR James Scheafer in the backfield for a safety early in the 4th quarter (https://vikings.myfootballnow.com/watch/4329#739081), Pittsburgh could not overcome Philly’s lead.

Big congratulations to GM vcr5150 on winning the 2030 NFLCrown Showdown!
It should be noted the US national mint has accelerated production of paper penny sleeves to facilitate banking transactions and fiscal reporting of gambling income.
