Override problems ?

Not sure if this is a bug or not yet.
This is just a preseason game but I have questions about why this might be happening... These players are not on the depth chart to play these positions. Does the override automatically put in the next player up for that position?

Center playing FB: http://cust14.myfootballnow.com/watch/371#71864
WR playing RB: http://cust14.myfootballnow.com/watch/371#71848
Center playing QB: http://cust14.myfootballnow.com/watch/371#71833

I'm confused....I have other plays like that and in the override section (that I never touch) I only had one open spot, under only one offensive formation which had nothing to do with these plays.
I guess I'm doing something wrong?? Please give me some words of wisdom....

This team is set up (for preseason) to have starters play for 2 quarters, btw.
I feel that preseason is for evaluating the players and plays on your team.
It's hard to do that if the improper personnel are on the field during the evaluation process.
What hurts more is trying to take a gamble and play most of your starter's throughout the game, then they get hurt for 6-7 weeks. Or if you play your starters too much, the backups (depth) won't get the plays to be better.

There are a couple of factors that make preseason interesting:

1) Your players are not yet conditioned and will fatigue faster than they do once you get to the regular season. That's part of pre-season is getting them conditioned. You want to play them enough that they get conditioned but not so much that they get hurt, as you were saying.

2) Because they are not fully conditioned, they are going to get more frequent rests. This will dig deeper into your depth chart than you would otherwise.

3) The engine tries not to play players who are fatigued beyond your settings, and if no one is available it will start to look at players from other positions - it will prioritize players in the same position group (i.e. backfield) then players on the same side of the ball (i.e. all offensive players) and then if it still can't find a player it will look at the other side.

To combat this, be sure you have 60 players active for the preseason games and get your depth charts as deep as you can. You can also adjust your fatigue settings so your players stay on the field longer, but of course you risk them getting injured as conditioning does play a factor in whether they will suffer an injury.

Would it maybe be helpful to have the computer auto-adjust fatigue settings once the back-ups are in for pre-season, to keep them out there longer? This might stop so many odd subs, where your star offensive players are subbing in on defense. Just a thought.

..and we have 60 players on our team at this point, so really this shouldn't be happening IMO.
In another league I had my star HB playing CB despite having 5 CBs on the roster.
I wish there was an option to ONLY PLAY POSITIONS ON THE DEPTH CHART and not have fatigue making these decisions.
