Roster Tweaks

As a revisit to this thread: https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/forums/thread/4/384?page=1#1811

The NFL has a roster limit of 90 players for Training Camp, so that teams can properly evaluate talent and see who might be worth keeping around, or who needs to be dumped. The maximum number on the rosters slowly gets whittled down during the pre-season before reaching the 53-man limit by Regular Season Game #1.

There should be a way to implement that here. Maybe not a 90-man roster for TC, but something more than the 60?

So maybe 75 for TC, down to 70 by Pre-Season Game 2, 65 for Game 3, 60 for Game 4, then the 53 by Regular Season Game 1? That seems like a reasonable way to be able to evaluate talent, see who might be worth keeping around. You'd still have your salary limits and penalties (don't think those change for TC / Pre-Season in the NFL anyway), so it's not like there could be ridiculous things done with players.

60 is more than enough for me.

I find that players 53-60 are bottom of the barrel players I don't want on my team to begin with. The only reason I have them is because (a) just filling up roster space with 1 year minimum players to add depth so I can play my real players less, or (b) I have more than 53 players due to FA signings or the draft, and now I get a few extra weeks to try to make a trade.

Also, having additional "cut down" days just means there are more chances for the AI to screw you by cutting your first round pick simply because you were not able to do the cuts manually, and the AI thinks that extra punter you just picked up is better than the player you just drafted.
