Highlight Players on Roster with No Contract

During the offseason, some of the players on the roster don't actually have contracts because they expired. It would be nice if there were an easy way to see all of them. Right now you can view players' contract details and it doesn't include players with no contract, so you have to compare it with the primary roster page to find all players not under contract but who you had last season.

Not a big deal, but I would appreciate it. It would be less confusing when determining team needs.

Choose 'no pending or current contract' in the drop-down above the roster.

"I see," said the blind man to the deaf woman over the phone as he picked up his hammer and saw. :D

The best option would be for these players to not even appear on rosters they are no longer a part of.

I like having an area that makes it easier to offer contracts to guys you didn't re-sign because of the required bonus, but maybe want to re-sign for a year or two with no bonus or very little bonus.

what i would like to see is that you can send a contract to every player that only has 1 year on their contract either be they been on your team or you claimed them from Waivers though not saying every player will accept it .

maybe some will reject it and they will test the market and/or they will retire.
maybe some will accept it and they will play some more years

At least have them automatically removed from your depth chart.

The only place they should appear is in the players without contracts roster view.

I can't tell you how many times I thought I was set at a certain position because when I looked at my depth chart I saw I had X number of players at Y position, only to find out later that 2 or 3 of those were no longer on my team.

In the past I have gone through all of FA and the draft not trying to replace someone because I didn't realize I needed to.

I understand it was ultimately my fault, but those players weren't even on my team anymore.

Yes, I certainly agree there, WarEagle.

When we get that message towards the end of the year saying "we have players and coaches that will become free agents at the end of the year", then at that time having those players highlighted would be helpful.

Then when they become free agents have em fall off our rosters and on to our transaction page saying they weren't signed and became a free agent. That way if we missed someone we have a place to research that.

And most definitely have em drop off our depth charts if not under contract. I like to keep my depth charts up to date. It's how I see what I got and what I need. It's tough to sort through with those guys on there as WarEagle stated.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it.
