Note on the contract details the player cannot be resigned.


i took this from this thread ( https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/community/thread/5/3412?page=1#22833 )


anyway i think that would work for retiring players where the player cant be resigned because they are retiring


it would be kinda when a player is unhappy with you & either wants you to trade him or let him walk in free agency


so why not make it also be true where you try to give a player a contract it says something like player A is retiring so he wont sign a contract with you

Because he will resign with you, take the bonus money and never play a down (if you sign him after your season is over and before the next season).

You're stuck with the dead cap and the player rides off into the sunset with a bigger retirement nest egg.

That's the way it works in MFN. If you think the player might retire, don't offer a contract. That's your only solution.
