Spend Credits to Cut players so not to affect salary cap

OK let me say first off i was thinking about this for awhile and not even sure this would help yet it seems nowdays teams in salary cap trouble for maybe cutting players either be their draft picks or a player on their team they dont want which is ok they have every right to do this.

it is just considering now that leagues are getting deleted when there is a not 16 owners in the league i think this is important to do in that now if a team gets in salary cap trouble now it is a 2 fold of person leaving the team then if there is only 16 people in that league then that league gets deleted .

Then you add on to the fact if you get too many teams in salary cap trouble then in my opinion or my 2 cents which it is all really that everyone and their brother is going to AVOID that league making it where the league is going to get deleted or greatly chance of getting deleted because you have a too many teams in salary cap trouble.

also this could affect created leagues where now that league wont have enough people to spin which if created leagues ever go on the chopping block like regular leagues then i would say this idea is that much important to have so people who have created leagues dont have them deleted and lose all that money they spent to create them .

something else i will say i will admit this sounded alot better in my mind or brain than typing all this out.

thanks

Interesting thoughts.

My 2 cents, and I've tried mentioning this in other threads, is that it might be good to prevent the overages in the first place. I've seen GM's not fully understand the renegotiation wizard and accidentally resigned players to the point that they completely screwed themselves by putting themselves WAY over the cap. I think it's completely understandable that new player who accidentally screw themselves like this could feel too frustrated to continue and just quit.

And like you (punisher) point out, there are a lot of open teams in many leagues that are in terrible financial situations that nobody wants to take over. This makes it difficult to keep leagues alive.

My idea is to cap how far over the cap anyone can sign players. I understand, especially during the offseason, that people may try to sign free agents to salaries that would put them over the cap with the plan of making further roster adjustments to get back below. Which is why I'm guessing at an allowance of 10 million over.

This may not prevent all the instances of open teams being in bad financial situations. But I can't help but wonder if it could prevent at least half of them.

well thanks for the kind comment

also if my previous idea wouldnt work or yours wouldnt only other option i could think of is when a team is in bad salary cap problem like lets say Private 75 team then i say either take a team from a deleted league or a league that doesnt have enough players to take that teams spot

like this

Indiana Ambushers > El Paso > Private 75 so basically El Paso would take the place of the destroyed team though it probably is a bad idea and rather if that we didnt use this idea because that team might have a advantage over a existing team in that league over the fact they are relocated from another league where their salary cap is bigger where they can sign more players or something along those lines over the team that was always in that league.

btw this is just a example not that first team is in trouble or that El paso would be relocated from a deleted league or created league/custom league that doesnt have enough players in it
