Draft picks go to people if they have Cap Space

Instead of having to trade draft picks for cap reasons why not allow someone in that league to be able to have them if they have the cap space.

like below alex had to trade draft picks for cap reasons awhile if someone in MFN 24 had the cap space why not instead have those draft picks go to that person

Couldnt keep picks for cap reasons. needed DL help at low salary. Had one too much safety.

Stupid suggestion, draft picks are a valuable team building asset. Trading them away still bring your team some value.

dont think it is stupid

there are leagues that already do this where if you dont have the cap space your draft picks go to another team

Like the RANCH = https://the-ranch.myfootballnow.com/

i only had 3 draft picks for recent draft which were 6th and 7th rounders and i didnt trade my 1st , 2nd , 3rd ,4th and 5th rounders

it is not like the end of the world if this happens you wouldnt have to worry about trading them and you wouldnt have to get critized for trading them to get some relief

to me it is a win win for everyone involved.

I'm the owner, I want to run the team, not someone or something else.

Are you saying your 1st round pick (and others) was taken away from you because you had Cap issues ?

If so, how can this be a win-win situation ? What value did you get back from the team that got your picks ?

Yes because i sure dont remember trading them and i still had them until the DRAFT came then they went to teams that had cap room

Win = you dont have to worry about trading them
Win = you dont get people on your case for trading them because you have cap issues.

Value = i got from the teams that got my picks were the fact my team wasnt over the cap where i had to CUT people because of it.

This makes no sense to me at all.

Had you traded your picks, you would have received some value from them...thus extending the Cap issue to potentially recover, but instead, they were taken away from you !!? Weird imo.

only thing i can think of is on each teams page there is a Need for Draft Picks category and if you dont have that number in that league it takes them away and maybe it happens in other leagues and people havent been noticing it.

No, that doesn't make any sense at all. I've had several leagues where draft picks required more space than I had available cap. Draft completed without issue than in late Free Agency I cut/renegotiated to get back inside cap AFTER knowing what I was able to draft.

Also, the OP makes no sense either. I've inherited several bad cap situations from the AI and no one ever complained when I traded out of the current draft for future year draft picks. That's a win-win!!
