Idea to correct WR/CB in other position exploit

In my opinion, this is the biggest problem right now. Season after season is won by teams using this exploit, with teams refusing to use it having no chance.

Here's my idea. It would not be realistic to hit physical stats, but... Play knowledge should be attached to how many times a play is practiced or used in game ONLY at that position. If a player is practicing at WR, he gets no play knowledge at RB for that practice.

If that's too hard to implement, a severe play knowledge penalty could serve the same purpose. A WR playing RB... 70% (or so) loss in play knowledge.

Already implemented unless I'm misinterpreting what you're saying. A player who's position is WR only gets position experience at that position during midweek sims and receives no position experience from any position related to where he is at on the depth chart ie RB/TE

Close... and a part of it... but the main idea is play knowledge. They should not get play knowledge as a RB if they're practicing at WR.

I'm not sure why you might think that? I could understand WR/CB....but RB/WR are a closely alligned group, just like WR and TE. I'm sure there are plenty of TE's and RB's that line up in the slot in the NFL.

I don't know about that. I think separating play knowledge from just knowing a play into knowing a play from certain positions is not really solving the problem and makes it more confusing.

People have success with plays with 0 play knowledge anyways so let's just decouple weight and speed and go from there to start fixing the issue of underweight players
