Also, I have seen (and been a part of) some games where there are 9-10 INTs total for the game. It's no fun when you have both teams out there throwing picks all the time. Not realistic. 2-3 INTs would be more realistic per game, not 9-10...lol

The NFL single game record for A SINGLE PLAYER is 4 INT in a game.

Having 4-7 INTs per team (total 8+) might not be what we're used to seeing, but that doesn't make it entirely unrealistic.

.

The top 2 QB's in L-75 which is the league I believe Michael77 is talking about here.... have 31 INT's through 8 games. That is unrealistic.

Edit to add...they both have 100% accuracy

L-75?

If it's this one (click), then there's no such thing. Have his QB thrown a lot of INT's in the first 7 games? Yes (20), but it's not exactly super unrealistic,

If it's not that league, I can't tell what you mean by L-75.

I'd also be interested to know what kind of game plans are being used. If you are heavy in medium and long passes, you're going to get more interceptions. Preventing interceptions in 0.4.5 for longer passes is largely a function of the QB's strength and accuracy.

Here is an example of a game where there was 10+ INTs total between the two QBs and this is a trend happening in all leagues and as mentioned, both QBs are at 100 for pass accuracy. Even most of the WRs are at 100 for pass catching. I own the one team and we hardly ever throw deep and the QB threw 10 picks. Most of the plays are short-medium passing plays. https://private75.myfootballnow.com/box/4157

And here is another example and this is the way most games are.. Notice the QBs who are good QBs with good attributes: https://arena.myfootballnow.com/box/2269

56 pass attempts out of 75 offensive plays ...and you are really bewildered that your team throwing a bunch of interceptions against a team that did obviously an excellent scouting on your teams offensive game plan?

His QB threw quite a few picks too. What are we supposed to do Guy Debord? Since you seem to have all the answers? Running isn't getting it done. RBs average 1-3 yards a carry. So logic would say pass more than run if your QB is elite. But the issue is that these are mostly short to medium passes thrown. Not long passes. Imo, the INTs between BOTH teams shouldn't be over 10 a game.

I don't said I have "all the answers". But in my opinion the basic rule for a good offense as well in RL as in MFN is quit simple: Establish the run to enable a successful passing game.

That would make sense. But in the past codes, passing successfully has opened up the run game. Don't ask me why..lol Sorry I gave you some attitude. I just don't like it when owners come on here and "second guess" what an owner is doing when that owner has a track record for multiple 16-0 and 15-1 seasons and over 10 championships in the game. It's like people telling Belichick he doesn't know how to coach.lol

I don't remember the engines before 0.4.3 because I don't played the game a longer time. So my only experience I can talk about is that in my opinion there is no real difference between 0.4.3 and 0.4.5 regarding the discussed topic.
I running in both engines 60 percent of the plays and the only thing I can say is that I'm very successful (as well in my running as in my passing game) with this strategy.

I completely agree.

If I played a team that was so obviously unable to run the ball, I'd just line up passing defense all day long and enjoy the free win.

I don't really look at my stats in games. I've had games where I almost lost because of turnovers. I've seen games in my league where there's 7 fumbles from one team.

It doesn't really matter to me. What matters is that I balance my gameplan to keep my opponent honest. I'm in division with Denver who are statistically much better on offense and they beat me on offense when we played. But I won the game. My run offense was able to churn out the important yards and I scored on my yardage.

I tend to favor the throw, but I'd never throw it long if I knew that I couldn't run it, that's just giving it away easier in an already easy-to-lose game. Peyton Manning suffered too when the opponents knew they couldn't run it for their life.
