These types of experiments should be confined to the test league (MFN-1).
If you do this in a regular league you are doing a disservice to the rest of the owners in that league.

i disagree to the point that really why would selecting different plays for different playbooks be confined to the test league , making rules for your team be confined to the test league and messing with the misc options for different leagues ??

Think about it for playbooks for a minute
I really doubt someone has the same playbook for each team they have
also you have teams that mostly are not going to be like (one might be a passing team , a rushing team , balanced team , etc.) so for someone not to use the playbook their team is geared for which if they are all different would be counter productive .

think about it for rules for a minute
i really doubt people dont have at least 1 rule for each team and it might different for each team they have.
also last i checked every league you can make rules for and put them to use.

think about it for misc options for a minute
it would benefit everyone to try different things in there in different league
like for example
try no 2 point conversion attempts and conversions when your behind or ahead
try every 2 conversion attempt and conversion when your behind or ahead
just trying like every pattern you can do there for like if there is 12 different approaches you could have there it probably would take a long time to do all 12 in the test league

also me personally not saying he has to do it meaning those things i suggested that you want to have restricted to the test league but IF it keeps him from leaving the game by trying many different things then really who is hurting especially when you have a player like setherick who this website benefits from him being here as a player.

i just think gustoon said it best just enjoy it for what it is

I never implied he should have the same plays / rules / etc. for each team he owns. He knows enough about football to understand how foolish this would be if the situation didn't warrant it.

I was suggesting that it is bad for a league when there are owners like you (apparently) who use those leagues as if they were test leagues.

Doing things such as having a playbook full of plays "you'd rather not use" just to see what happens, or being in goal line defense every play, or calling a long pass every play, or playing a 180 pound CB as a DT, etc., are things that should only be done if you are experimenting.

In my opinion, experimenting to such as drastic degree as this should only be done in MFN-1, or in pre-season. Not in a regular league during the regular season.

Regular leagues should be for players who are trying to win each game. That is the point I was making.

the passing game can be frustrating but to me the biggest issue i have with this game is how easy it is to take away the run. It's ridiculous how the run game can be nuetralized. I'm a former running back and love the ground game approach but it's something that is worthless unless it's a decoy for the passing game.

The run game does seem to be feast or famine.

It's also ridiculously easy to salt the earth with your defense without exposing yourself too much to the passing game.

Probably because there are a lot of running game concepts missing from this game. The power plays aren't there, there doesn't seem to be any stretch or trap plays, no read option, no zone blocking. It's pretty straight forward, you have the counter and the rare guard pull but mostly the running game is very vanilla and does't allow for much variety.

i think if the repercussions of blitzing the run was more devastating in the passing game it would make people not blitz as much. As it is, you actually play better pass defense by blitzing. So now you have teams blitzing all the time. I've been able to beat people through the air cause all they do is blitz me but it's not fun to have the offense be so one dimensional and chuck and pray.

In my defense i have to be willingly and able to try things not to use leagues as a test league if you want to call it that .

More like if i want to experience a super bowl win or even a super bowl appearance then i have to at least TRY things right or wrong

And i think your being somewhat of a hypocrite in that you even have said it took you a long time to beat someone like Detroit LEO and i really doubt you were able to just come to this website and win like you have now.

meaning you probably tried things right or wrong for the betterment of your team so you could experience the joys of winning a super bowl

and you probably did try things like i have tried things yet it is ok for you but i do it and i hear **** for it.

my only wish of reason of being a super bowl champion or even a super bowl appearance is not to play in your hall of champions league that you want so badly.

it is more like so if someone along and maybe does things that dont make sense to me that i am not to judge them in the manner most people here do.

i would actually look at them as they are trying to close the gap between them and me .

that instead of complaining about how other teams do or do better or owner do better that they try to find anything regardless of what it is to close that gap where they can actually win a super bowl or even just make it.

No screens passes adds to this tactic.
