Cleveland Brown watch

In Private-75 a highly rated, highly volatile player with the computer generated name "Cleveland Brown" was just taken with the 16th overall pick in the draft. The forgone conclusion based off his name alone is that he'll bust hard. I'm very humored by the situation and will provide an update every once in a while. This is the Browns year. They are gonna rock the draft and be a yearly contender. Good pick for whoever took him!!

Wishful thinking never hurt anyone. Just ask us Bengals fans. ;)

I hope they don't screw the number 1 overall pick up by reaching for a QB.

I really hope they do, 'cause that's one less QB that the Bears might be tempted to reach for at the #3 spot.

If the bears reach and the QB they pick is terrible that would be even better.

Give me Garrett or Allen at #1 Overall.

Then make that Eagle's Pick matter... one of those 3 DBs in the Top 15 would be awesome.

But my real Dream is somehow landing BOTH Garrett and Allen, which would require QB Hungry Teams making small moves with us at the Top.

If we got Allen and Garret our Front 6 (due to Nickel being dominant) would be set for the next 5+ Seasons...

Garrett/Allen/Shelton/Ogbah (Nassib depth)
Collins/Kirksey

(only 2 LB since we're in Nickel 70% of the time).

I could be VERY happy with that.

Update: He hasn't blown it yet!

Cleveland has made it through Training Camp without being a massive disappointment yet. Despite his high volatility, he only shifted one point, and that was towards the positive. Great job Cleveland! Everyone is watching!

Cleveland Brown was a steal just like Felix Perkins last season . Both were passed up early in the first round by the best owners in the game, but yet they managed to beat all the odds that were stacked against them as statically there is less than one of these players each draft. The chances are 1 in 2500..... of landing these types of players . To do it two drafts in a row in the hardest league speaks volumes about GM raymattison21. As that number is astronomical !

Both players have above 96 volatility , a scary number for most scouts, but fearless "old naggy" once again struck gold.

This is nothing new for teams that run under "old naggy" as he has done this before in mfn one when he first joined that league. Hitting on hall of famers CB Waldron and RB Quinn in successive drafts. Both ridiculously high in volatility and overall. Still, same result.

Wait there's more he also hit on his first draft pick ever a 1.7 LB with volatility nearing 100. The best part was those three picks were all selected without the volatility rating being shown yet.

"Old naggy" has stated his drafting secrets in the forums many times, but it seems to fall on deaf ears as many others routinely bust on early picks with high volatility . In these posts he has hinted towards the players current ratings in combination with their volatility actually creates a "tell" of whether a player will generally trend up or down.

Some will call all this rubbish and just dumb luck, but GM raymattison21 hopes jdb is looking at the volatility rating and how it is used as "old naggy " has claimed drafting is too safe in general, and hopes volatility ratings will change throughout a players career .

Until then this third person evaluation finishes with a "happy drafting everyone" and "good luck"!
