Older league draft pools.

The older leagues don't seem to have much depth to the draft pools beyond the first round as compared to the newer leagues that I am in.

Was also wondering the same, anyone else notice or think the drafts are getting "stingier"?

I hope so. I am so sick of 90 rated player at every position . Parity please as I hate seeing every team have two or three wrs that all are 99 in everything except run block and break tackle. The really high and really low rated players get clouded as what causing what and why. Making the game more touchy or sensitive . Generic engine rules are more prevalent in deciding the outcome, fatigue , weight, speed, strength , experience m familiarity , blitz scheme .

I like to think the most talented teams would win....in general . Not that they don't but I have watched the balance deminish as the strong draft classes were added. Not to mention what it does to salaries of players as you got to carry all this talent under the cap . It would make it harder to charge enough for an overachiever in comparison to an under achiever. Mashing salaries together also

. I want a 99 db win a one on one battle.... not get beat out due to a 99 accuracy QB or any of those other generic reasons I mentioned earlier . Deion was lights out no matter the team scheme or anything for that matter . Age and overall overuse should decline an elite players chances of success . I seen junkier dbs do just as well as elite ones.

That's not realistic at all. In the NFL you can find great players in any round. Tom Brady was a 6th round pick Antonio Brown was a 6th round pick. You can't find players like that in the 6th round in this game. That's why the value of a late round draft pick is so low. And that's why when you try to trade for a veteran player everyone expects a 1st round pick for them. That's how you get teams with all 90's because they offload their veterans and stock pile number 1 draft picks.

Or you could just make drafting harder

Even the best DB's get beat especially when going against the best WR and QB's

Last episode of mfn tonight jdb said he has lowered the amount of high rated prospects in rookie drafts so there wouldn't be so many high rated players.

Then at least add more mid level players. The drop is to steep. Most of the rookies are not even worth drafting beyond the first 2 rounds because they get such a low rating in a key stat that they can't perform their job adequately.
