Warrior462 seemed upset about it. I was just curious as to whether the average user has an opinion on this issue. I do not know what mine is.

Lellow is a master of trades. Most of the time he doesn't even propose them. He puts his studs up for auction in every league he's in and waits for incredible offers to come to him. I believe him to be the best in the game at building a powerhouse and maintaining it. He's always very personable and more than willing to help everyone get better, but make no mistake, he's as shrewd as they come as a GM.

In one of the league's I'm in with him the man had 3 1st round picks and outbid everyone on the top two secondary players available in free agency, both incredible additions. Of course he can afford to sell of his veterans. The man is 4 deep at every single position.

My only real issue with the deal is that the DT in question has an expiring contract and hasn't been resigned as of yet.

Wondering if jsid is going to "weigh in" this one ... ;)

Not my league. Not my problem

Meh.

I've been here for about 2 months now and this is just another terrible trade that makes an otherwise awesome sim mediocre for overall league simulation when trades like this go down and teams are able to ultra-stack themselves.

I've played one season in MFN-30 and have had some fun with rebuilding the team and coaching I took over and have seen some really awesome games played and some really boring ultra lopsided ones. While the code continues to develop and improve all of the **** games are generally with really unbalanced team talent match-ups.

Nothing illegal about it, especially if it's a new or poor owner offering the trade. Just take it for what it is. Enjoy the game for what it is and don't sweat it if you get blown out by a team with a ton of 90+ players on their roster.

I'm guessing that private leagues or ones that can sustain good competent owners will have a lot more parity and fun competition.

even private leagues have trades that make you shake your head. I started a NCAA league with no trading and i'm really excited about a league with more parity. I recommend those who are tired of bad trades to start a new league with that rule and maybe you would have a more enjoyable experience. :)

Hey Bryson,

I heard about that league when it was being formed from Bryno. I liked the wrinkle of the 4 (or can you go 5 years if you red-shirt) limit for players before they left school. I didn't know it was a no-trade league as well. Interesting concept. It's sad to think that it has to be done that way, but from what I've seen, I think it will probably generate better overall league and game play.

I was hoping I was going to be able to view the league to see how Bryno's Penn State team develops. Looks like it isn't visible to us commoners :). I'm a Badger at heart anyway!

Ya Bryno actually decided to be Army instead. The league is visible to public if you just click on my name and look at the leagues i'm in you can click on NCAA League. Bryno and i are going to be doing a weekly video podcast for the league which should be really fun! Our allocation draft just ended today and it was the toughest draft i've had in mfn so that bodes well for our future. I think concepts like this and the other new leagues being formed will be game changers for mfn and take the game to a whole new level.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I want to watch how this league develops. But, Rutgers is in and no Badgers in the BIG10!!!!! Really!!!! :). I guess no league will ever be perfect.

Rutgers joined the Big Ten, and surprisingly no one wanted the badgers. I think our conferences all stayed right on except i allowed an owner to put marshall in the independent league. Should be fun :)

I didn't post this to embarrass lellow, since we have had no previous dealings. I was starting a user-created league and wanted to know whether specific types of trades should be prohibited based on general user perception.
I did a survey of my league's owners offering several options. One was a three-person trade review committee with the commish as a permanent member along with two owners who change every day. The vote was pretty lopsided in favor of that proposal. We'll try it for one season and see how people like it.

Years ago I was in a OOTP baseball league that was highly competitive. At one point something like this was implemented and it backfired terribly. We had league presidents and the commish deciding what a "fair" trade was. Guys with multiple division titles and championships were being told they were being fleeced and having their trades overturned.

We ended up going to a 80 percent vote overturn system and it worked pretty good.
