Fair enough! heh!

I'm not sure about this, but I think the actual playbook that is picked by the previous owner remains as the playbook for the AI, at least for a little while. I say this because I played a team one time, and this owner only used 3 running plays, usually on 1st down. So I gameplanned so stop his 1st down run, and the day before I played him, he dropped his team. When I played him, it was the AI plan (he ran unpredictably on all 3 downs) but it was the same plays. So I lost the game.

I might be wrong about this, it happened a couple of years ago. But if an owner has picked really good plays, that would strengthen the AI's ability to win.

I am not sure why but I also have a tough time against computer led teams.

I surmise that they can do a better job of gameplanning for one game against me because AI can do a better job of identifying my trends than I can of my opponent as I spend only a couple minutes game-planning.

tbh you may find playing chess against the computer harder than against humans as well... - these darn computers are clever now-a-days ;)

just mentioning that computer led teams still seem to perform better than their current record suggests - to the point where I feel it can't be a coincidence, but definitely a trend.

Always that 80 yard TD pass just when they need it.

Oh, man, I used to get infuriated when I lost to a computer led team.

I incorrectly thought they didn't even scout but apparently they do plan against you.

So my Cleveland team in League 85 played a computer team. We were 5-2, the computer team was 2-5. My QB is rated 92 out of 93. During the 1st half, my QB had a stat line of 12-19 257yards 1int 2TD.

Then in the 2nd half, the computer team must have made some amazing adjustments. My QB's 2nd half stat line was 3-17 44yards 1int and 4 sacks.

It's not halftime adjustments, it's QB fatigue. In the non-beta leagues, QB fatigue is effed. It kicks in around 20 passes, which is why you see QBs fall apart in the second half of games if you throw the ball at all in the first half. It's what has led to the explosion of the convoy QB system.

In the next major release, QB fatigue will be adjusted to kick in at 40 passes, which makes things a lot better, but it's still not great.

Which is pretty silly, professional QBs never really seem to have this problem. I could see if a QB took a lot of hits and that had an effect, but to simply get tired from throwing the ball is pretty dumb.
