Apparently this is 'ok behaviour, I've flagged this up countless times and creating a name n shame list isn't in the spirit of the game. But owning a team , ruining it and aborting is ... :/

Name and shame is all that can be done at this point. Hard to sit by and watch a non user created league vanish because of quitters.

People give up teams all the time, as long as they aren't intentionally ruining the team no one should care. These posts are completely pointless and unnecessary.

I gave up a team in 63 that were perennial poor, never made playoffs. I took them from 1-15 to 13-3 in the space of one season. Not gloating, but I gave them up because I had no desire for a "long term" project. I also gave up a pretty good NYJ team (4-1) in the parody league due to wanting to focus on my other teams.

Nothing wrong whatsoever in quitting a team/league....dismantling them (intentionally making them weaker) and then quitting should result in a name & shame in my opinion.

If a GM giving up a team/project, to focus more deeply on another, and it unsettles you, ultimately, YOU own that!! it's your decision to remain upset.

So its ok to commit to something only to give up when you feel like it ? Keep in mind, non user created leagues are deleted after participation drops below 50% for a period of time. I play in one league...you know, kinda like REAL NFL owners do.So now my league will get deleted because folks lost and got mad....or wants to focus on 60 other leagues they are in. Yup UPSET.
