One of my teams, (Parlor City Phantoms) in the Elite League, I drafted a linebacker that had some potential. His name is Slimer Onionhead. He had what I consider the absolute lowest max speed any LB should have with 70. As long as he is not the WLB, a 70 and up speed LB can do a reasonably good job. Well, Slimer didnt boom, but didn't exactly bust either and is going to end up being an average starter or good backup. What I am confused about is that after training camp, Slimer's max speed actually decreased more. How and why? You would think with training camp some attributes would go up. Now my first round pick, Slimer, is below what I expected and all he does is keep eating. Is there a way that I can coax his max speed back up to at least 70?

you can try and switch his position to WLB and hope him losing 3 Lbs gives him plus 1 speed.

7 pounds is usually 1 speed. So tbh you might have to swap him into a safety if u want more speed. cause i dont know if 3 is gonna be strong enough to move the 1. It may but its not for sure.

Sounds like he was initially 'underweight' for what the sim considers to be ideal weight for the position. Yousawthathuh is right in that speed generally moves up or down 1 for every 7lbs lost or gained. However it is dependant on where his speed was with his drafted weight.

For example if his speed was originally 69.5 it would show up on his card as 70 and a weight gain of just a pound would see his speed drop below 69.5 causing him to be listed as a 69 speed.

I hope that makes sense - Oh and whilst 70+ speed is ideal for a LBer 60+ is generally good enough for MLB and SLB provided they have good acceleration.

sad part is if you go to elite league then click on that name it will not say Error Found.

Yes......for a player that didn't boom, he is pretty solid, but yea.... too slow. Slimer eats too much.
