Thanks for the report, I'll definitely get this one fixed.

Will that fix cover everyone or just this one instance?

It will fix everyone. I haven't fixed it yet, though.

Thanks, I found the same problem when I checked it out and was just curious if everyone needed to report the error. Now I know we don't. Good luck on the fix.

JDB,

I'm not sure what you are expecting here. Do you want us to use the beta website, which you admit is buggy...and report on bugs? If so, do we post them in this thread with a blob of posts?

Could I suggest some sort of bug-tracking thread and/or some sort of release/version control?

Dumping bugs into one thread, with no prior organization of bug reporting is going to be cumbersome for the user to keep track of(including yourself)....and you might avoid multiple reports of the same bugs etc.

At this point I'm looking mostly for show-stopping issues. You're right, I need some sort of bug ingesting process. Really what would be helpful is if there are some of you guys who would be interested in stepping into a role of sort of 'lay project team' that helps identify and prioritize issues. I know I'm wanting to do that with the game engine, maybe it the UI we could start getting that process ironed out.

I'd have no problem putting in some bug reporting on UI issues, as I am retired. That said, there are many coaches out there who know the system a whole lot better than I.....so maybe they'd be best situated(?)

I'm just throwing this out there JDB, but if people volunteer their time to help you debug and report issues, I think it could be a nice gesture to perhaps make it worth their while by way of rewarding them with a few extra credits for their time and effort etc?

Jus an idea.

Observe and report!

Do you have a test plan, or are you still planning the testing for UI? I kind of feel like it could have been done by one person in the time it has been live.

To sort the issues though I would suggest an inbox with multiple dropdown. One for the screen issue was observed, one for generic issue descriptions and a space for comments. In regards to priority, how much push would said lay project team really have? You kind of control the buttons at your own pace.

Top offensive and defensive players are not showing on league home page. League home page is also running shoddy - shifting and refreshing. On the phone, the new site is bulky. Sorting caused full page refresh. Forums being added to home page and notices in top right were noticeably new, but forums themselves suffer from the bulky look and quotes tend to blend with background.

Do you navigate MFN as a user? Phone and computer? I’m curious how much sight you have on the issues yourself from UI perspective. How formal of a team are you expecting and got how long.

I'd like to figure out a long-term committee plan with maybe 5 spots where users help provide visibility into the largest pain points. Obviously I can't afford to pay a QA or Product team, but I would want to compensate with maybe some sort of subscription plan as long as they are active in the process. I would allow them to drive the direction pretty heavily; I enjoy playing the game but don't play now because any time I'd spend playing means time I am not developing it, so I need that inside voice of an actual user. I would probably push back just when their direction doesn't align with my vision for the game.

I need to figure out how this group organizes and communicates with each other and with me. Might just start with a Slack channel that they get invited to, but would want something more formal long term, probably built into the site itself.

Makes sense. I’d love to be more constructive here. But you do have a lot of vested owners who might be great as well. It is exciting to me to hear the prospect of this more formal feedback committee.

From reading forums, there are many different play styles and reasons people play. Let alone the medium they generally play from (pc vs phone). I do hope that you’re able to grab the right combination of perspectives, but there is definitely no shortage of perspectives.

I play MFN exclusively on my phone so let me start with my personal perspective from being a phone only user. I apologize if these have already been covered.

*when in the league home page....league chat and the notification buttons open both but within 3 seconds they close which makes them almost useless to me.

*The old UI always fit on my screen but the new UI never does which makes it much less user friendly for phone users.

*The top offensive & defensive players of the week are blank.

*No matter where I'm at in MFN, it constantly reloads the page after a few seconds which makes it almost unusable for me.

I was really hoping the new UI would be more phone friendly but I haven't been able to use it for more then a few minutes before switching back to the old UI when I need to do anything in my leagues.

I've had some interest in folks participating in the feedback committee. I have decided the best place to house this, at least for now, is in a private Discord channel.

If you are interested in participating and haven't yet reached out to let me know, please send me a PM. I am going to limit the membership to 5 users. Their purpose will be primarily to help drive priorities, your responsibilities would be to be active in the forums and in the Discord chat, and you would discuss among the committee to decide which issues or features should have focused attention next. I will interact some with the committee, but most of the discussion will be among the group.

I'm looking forward to hearing from those of you who want to participate!
