Is a “missed” tackle on a defensive player the same thing as the offensive player winning the break tackle roll? Or does it include being in position but simply missing/getting outrun?

It would have to be, surely, as the "being in position to" option would mean the game engine having to somehow determine a player *should* have made the tackle, which is subjective?

This morning I started getting an opt out and a consent pop up EVERY SINGLE PAGE I look at for MFN. This is the second time in the last year this has happened.

It is now unbearable to even be on this site.

The break tackle logic takes both the attribute and the player's weight into account (as well as speed, angle of the tackle, whether there are other players on him, etc). It in itself is not the exclusive factor. A small player with a high break tackle attribute can be similar to a large player with a lower break tackle attribute. Strength and size also determine how much a player will drag his tacklers, but the break tackle attribute doesn't come into play there.

That is to say, it's not a simple comparison of the break tackle vs the tackling ability to decide whether the tackle is successful

Here is BT logic. “Being in position “ is key in certain scenarios. Whether a defender is squared up OR only gets a hand on him are both considered broken tackles in the stat line. There’s a diving tackle logic as well.

Fix "player awards" please. Not working at all anymore. No matter where.

I can attest to this, no matter how many times I press “opt out” it appears on the next page every time

I'm pretty sure the problem with that is that, if you opt out of cookies, the ad server has no way to track whether you have opted out ... I'll reach out to the ad service and see if that's the case.

-edit-

I just tested it in an incognito window but it only asked me once even when I opted out. I'm reaching out to the ad system support but if you could let me know if there is anything unusual about your setup (browser, cookie settings, etc) I can pass that on. Feel free to PM me anything you don't want public in this forum.

Here is the response from the ad service:

"Its possible for it to continue to pop up if a user is using a browser that has cookies/tracking disabled. If their browser isn’t allowing the decision information to be saved as a cookie, then Google never remembers their response so it asks over and over."
