Overrides

For the FG team there is not those "checkable boxes" to put different guys in when your in different situations.

I pretty sure all special teams does not have these same options as the regular down plays.

But for FG , i would like this so i can simulate a few things. This one would be to set the yardage quadrants toggle when picking my kicker.

I got 3 junky kickers and the well rounded one is stinking up the joint. So, i assumed this was possible, that is why i am carrying 3 kickers, just in case.

But i want play my extra point kicker in zero to 25 range and my big legged kickoff guy in the others. Easliy done with this toggle option available. It seems the pieces are there? There are probaly multipule uses for this but nothing game changing.

But i would like to try this next game, or if there is another way?

from as i can understand you have to put each KICKER in individual in the formation field goal and kickoff as overrides and you can only put 1 kicker at the kickoffs and field goal kicker in the depth chart.

so all told you would have to try each kicker for 1 game to see who you want to use.

I really do like your idea we should be able to do that with our kickers and even our punters.
heck we should have something like that for a running back we want to use for 3rd down

and where we can use different QB in speicific situations like florida did when they had CHRIS LEAK and TIM TEBOW

I like you today so I'm gonna tell you to go check out the overrides and it might blow your mind. I use these and change mine more then any part of my gameplan. I Find situational to be one of the most effective styles of coaching when done right. but very confusing the way it's set up.

i did look which i noticed that i can understand why the OP wants the Specials teams to have the same thing as the offense and defense has for overrides so more or less he can tinker with what he wants to do with his team and see what works and what doesnt work.

I've never actually noticed this before. I wonder why it isn't there? Probably just an oversight.

A big +1 from me to have this added.

i doubt it is a oversight.

More Likely the reason why specials teams doesnt have the same boxes as offense and defense is that in real life either be high school , college or NFL they dont put different players in different situations for specials teams yet they probably do it a ton for offense and defense so thats why it makes sense to only have offense and defense with checkable boxes.

Do i have to agree with you though this one gets a big 1 because really we should have those checkable boxes if only so if we have like more than 1 kicker either during the preseason or throughout the whole season we could test things out to see which kicker would better to keep and who we should keep activite versus which kicker we could part with or at least deactivite .

They DO put different people in for ST based on the situation, in High School, College and Pros. Many teams have a kicker who has a bigger leg, but is not very accurate. They would use him on long FGs, and use a more accurate kicker for short FGs.

We could do that here also if we could make the special teams overrides based on field position, which is what we are asking for.

I would find it difficult to find room to have 2 kickers active.

I'd like to have the option.

In addition to kickers, this would also enable me to put different "gunners" in if I'm punting from far enough away I would expect a return, etc.

Really if someone wants it your way or even lellow2011 wants it i think really it would be benefitical to everyone where the user could either ENABLE or DISABLE the option of special teams checkable boxes

also could make a case offense and defense should be set up that same way.

Then most likely everyone will be happy in their own way.
