I'm honestly not sure either. My intent was just to point out your league admin was trying to use humor to describe a positive aspect of your community.

I don't want to detract from that and I agree with the sentiment expressed by your community about including female + non-binary players in the game. Let's make it happen.

You've gone off half-cocked there. I run the Electrosports league, and the majority of the posters above are members. We have quite a few female-named players in the league, partly due to the baseball league I run that has around 50% female players.

To that end, of course we want gender selection.

Until I see a female playing OL or DL in the NFL I don't want female names on "my" team.
Sorry woke-sters.

If you want girls playing on "your" team just rename your players if renaming is allowed in that league. It's not that hard. So what if Taylor was called a he. "It" still got x amount of yards on the play.

I'm not gonna use the current year argument, because I think that's **** when advocating for these kinds of issues.

What I will say is that I think that's what people here are asking for, to be able to add gender customization in addition to the renaming players option. If you don't want female players on your team, don't trade for them or don't rename your players to have them or don't join a league that includes female players because the vast majority of leagues will still be 100% male-player filled.

I'll also say that I don't base my opinions regarding MFN on the NFL because it's incredibly dissimilar to NFL football. Sure, football games happen, but between the playcalling, familiarity, having slow WRs and weak OL (to name a few examples) there are marked differences.

Just my two cents.

EDIT: I'm sure JDB could customize this to let the league admin turn the option on or off too if it bothers enough people (though I'm not one of them, and I don't know how many really are).
