MFN is such a great game, and it would be unfortunate if development was unable to continue at a steady pace due to a reliance on a single stream of revenue.
A viable stream to be sure, but..
MFN has a very dedicated developer, who has proven to take on a complex system over time and with very good results in consideration of the complexities involved.

I firmly believe that myself and others, would support/donate to a kickstarter/gofundme/etc,
AND/OR
As someone eagerly and brilliantly suggested here in community forums a bit ago, and simple to impose, a subscription based service (monthly, quarterly, 6 month, annual sub is my suggestion) for tokens.

“SURVEY SAYS!”
...****, was going to do a poll of options.

How about a simple reply of:
YES: you would donate and or subscribe for: EG: monthly tokens, etc.

OR

NO: I would not.

Although a simple yes or no is enough, positive discussions of customer perspectives are welcome.
Thanks, everyone! Gain 3.4 yards every day!

+1
and I would not mind if the site still would display ads. Maybe that would help putting the project back out of the reds

Sure, I would pay to play.
(Editing out my comment about the developer's absence. He posted today, for the first time in several weeks.)

So long as it's reasonable, I don't mind.

I've paid $25-100 per year in hattrick.org since 2005, despite having never really played the game. :')

I'm on disability and seem to be behind all the time, with meds, doctors and hopitals taking all
they can! I would try to find away to pay, without MFN, I'd be lost!

Per trslick's post:

I think some sort of free option would still be needed. Not only for peeps on a tight budget but to encourage newbies to come in and try it.

Maybe have being able to gift non-refundable game credits to one another could be an option as well?

I have and will continue to financial support this game. My answer to most of this is to increase the user base.

The simplistic answer ( despite me not knowing what it entails) is to create an App for smartphones.

Sure this game isnt finished but it has kept me engaged for years and increasing the user base by millions could lead to a fast tracking in development based on increased revenue.

With enough downloads, if JDB doesn't have the time or money to dedicate to the game.....maybe he could sell the rights to someone that will for a substantial amount.

I play this game solely on my phone so an APP would surely be a viable option.
